Here we see Diana, goddess of the hunt, often seen with a greyhound dog at her side, carrying her bow and arrow. She was associated with wild animals and forests. Also a moon goddess, and an emblem of chastity. Oak groves were especially sacred to her. She was praised for her strength, athletic grace, beauty and her hunting skills.
