This is the original cover of The Saturday Evening Post dated April 25, 1959. It is raining, and Mr. Moore, on the left (a portrait of the artist himself) is dejected that he can't go golfing, while his neighbor (posed by Jack Falion--the artist's friend--from Huntington, LI) is delighted that he doesn't have to do lawn work!
Artist/Illustrator: Earl Mayan
Approximate Size (in inches): 10½ x 13½
Condition: Good to VG, address label lower right.
This is the cover only . . . not the entire magazine.
Please note:
Although we have given a very general grade for condition, please keep in mind that magazine covers suffer much harsher treatment than the rest of the magazine. After years of being handled and tossed around, it is likely that an old cover will show signs of wear including small rips, creases, discoloration/staining, edge chipping, general surface wear, etc.
If there is anything more severe, we will note that in the description. It is also helpful to look closely at the picture(s) we have provided above to get a better idea of condition of this cover.
