This is the original cover of the Sunday supplement to the Toronto Star Weekly dated June 29, 1946. A trio of boys practice for their band concert. We see a trumpet player, a drummer, and a boy on the harmonica. The dog howls along with them.
Artist/Illustrator: Russell Sambrook
Approximate Size (in inches): 10½ x 14½
Condition: Good with light age wear. Name written in pencil near bottom left.
This is the cover only . . . not the entire supplement.
A Note About Condition: Although we have given a very general grade for condition, please understand that these covers are printed on newsprint, making them more fragile than traditional magazine covers. They are likely to show light to moderate signs of wear including small rips, creases, discoloration/staining, edge chipping, general surface wear, etc. If there is anything more severe, we will try to note that in the description. It is also helpful to look closely at the picture(s) we have provided above to get a better idea of condition of this piece.
