This is the original cover of Collier's Magazine dated August 5, 1922. A man stands next to his antique/vintage motorcycle. Please note this cover is in poor to fair condition mainly because of moderate to heavy discoloration. However, we decided to list it anyway because it is a fantastic image by a beloved illustrator, and we're guessing someone will still be happy to have it. The worst discoloration is at the top margin, and a good part of it can probably be cropped away.
Artist/Illustrator: Coles Phillips
Approximate Size (in inches): 9¾ x 13½
Condition: See description above.
This is the cover only . . . not the entire magazine.
Please note:
Although we have given a very general grade for condition, please keep in mind that magazine covers suffer much harsher treatment than the rest of the magazine. After years of being handled and tossed around, it is likely that an old cover will show signs of wear including small rips, creases, discoloration/staining, edge chipping, general surface wear, etc.
If there is anything more severe, we will note that in the description. It is also helpful to look closely at the picture(s) we have provided above to get a better idea of condition of this cover.
