1912 Ithaca 20 Gauge Shotgun Ad ~ Giant Pigeon Shooting

Original vintage magazine ad for the Ithaca 20 gauge shotgun. Features a great photo of Mason Mitchell (American Consul), Apia, Samoa with the eight giant pigeons he shot in nine shots. Ad notes that the giant pigeons are very wild and require a Samoan to pick them out of the thick foliage of the Malili and Banyan trees. Printed on yellow stock.
