1898 Ladies' Home Journal Cover ~ Victorian Women Pick Flowers in Boat

In Stock 1

This is the original cover of The Ladies' Home Journal dated August 1898. "A Summer Day" shows Victorian women at noon picking flowers in a flat boat, plus small insets showing "morning" and "night."

Artist/Illustrator: Frank O. Small

Approximate Size (in inches): 11 x 16

Condition: Good with normal age wear (see below), small address label in title area. Lower right corner clipped away.

This is the cover only . . . not the entire magazine.

Please note:

Although we have given a very general grade for condition, please keep in mind that magazine covers suffer much harsher treatment than the rest of the magazine. After years of being handled and tossed around, it is likely that an old cover will show signs of wear including small rips, creases, discoloration/staining, edge chipping, general surface wear, etc.

If there is anything more severe, we will note that in the description. It is also helpful to look closely at the picture(s) we have provided above to get a better idea of condition of this cover.
