1889 Duke & Sons Costumes of All Nations Tobacco Card Album

Description: Published by Duke & Sons circa 1889, this is a gorgeous scarce souvenir album/booklet with chromolithographs of the "Costumes of All Nations" series of tobacco cards. This set showed actors and actresses (including Sarah Bernhardt, Lillian Russell, and Lillie Langtree) wearing a costume from a stage production from which he or she appeared. The booklet also features stunning larger images (some full page) of Langtree, Isabelle Irving, Lilllian Russell, Mary Anderson, and others.

Measuring approximately 10¼" x 6¾", there are 20 chromolithographed pages, each printed on one side only. Reverse sides are blank. The booklet also has a title page.

Condition: The front cover has some staining and some rips. The back cover is missing. The interior pages are in good to very good overall condition with some occasional surface wear and light age wear.
