This is an original Memorial Card for Prince Louis Napoleon (The Prince Imperial of France).

Embossed card reads:

In Memory of
Prince Louis Napoleon,
(The Prince Imperial of France)
Who was killed by the Zulus, in Zululand, Africa,
June 1st, 1879
Aged 23 Years,
He is gone, and has left a stainless name behind, honoured and
respected even by his adversaries.

The reverse side of the card has a handwritten note that says:

Presented to me in St. Mary's Chapel at the Temple of Napoleon III and the Prince by Madame Lourquette (?? can't decipher this name, but it is shown above in image 3 closeup) To Mrs. E.A. Thompson by W.P. Morgan

The card measures 4½ x 3, and is in VG to excellent condition.
