Description: Fabulous antique pop-up mechanical Valentine (circa 1910's/20's). Printed in Germany. Large, embossed diecut is unsigned but most likely the work of the wonderful Chloe Preston.
An adorable young girl with a blackboard(?) tucked under her arm hands a valentine to an equally adorable young boy. The girls head and arm move back and forth (click arrow above . . . additional images show the head/arm/eyes in different positions). A darling rabbit sits on a pull toy, and a Robin sings on the fencepost.
The final image above shows the piece next to a soda can (not included) to give you an idea of the nice large size of this Valentine.
Text: Valentine Greetings
Approximate Size (in inches): 9 x 7
Condition: The paper tabs that make the image pop up have come apart (this is easily fixed). Otherwise lovely condition with very little wear.
