Original color pages that have been carefully removed from an old issue of Life Magazine. Rudolf Freund illustrations include a chapter of text with wonderful descriptions for each beast (Su, Griffin, Bastilisk, Yale, Gorgon, Manticore, and Unicorn).
The center spread is on two separate pages with the center edges being cropped very slightly (when put together a sliver of the green lizard-like creature is cropped away).
