This is the original cover of The Saturday Evening Post dated August 16, 1924. A young boy holding his fishin' pole kneels by a grave marker that reads "Tige, My Pal" which clearly belongs to his deceased dog.
Artist/Illustrator/Photographer: E.M. Jackson
Approximate Size (in inches): 10½ x 13¾
Condition: Fair to good with a moderate amount of age wear.
This is the cover only . . . not the entire magazine.
Please note: Although we have given a very general grade for condition, please keep in mind that magazine covers suffer much harsher treatment than the rest of the magazine. After years of being handled and tossed around, it is likely that an old cover will show signs of wear including small rips, creases, discoloration/staining, edge chipping, general surface wear, etc. If there is anything more severe, we will note that in the description. It is also helpful to look closely at the picture(s) we have provided above to get a better idea of condition of this cover.
