Original b&w print (more like a commentary) that has been carefully removed from an antique issue of The Ladies Home Journal. Back in the early to mid 1900's, fireworks celebrations on July 4th were frowned upon due to the large number of injuries and death.
This is actually 3 related pages, two illustrated by Corinne Boyd Dillon. The third (not shown, on reverse side) illustrated by M. Leone Bracker detailing the horrors of the "Glorious Fourth" Celebration.
