This is the original cover of Country Life in America Magazine dated April 1908. A wonderful illustration for the coming of Spring. Not sure if you can make it out in the image above, but the animals in the forest are active. We see bunnies and squirrels hopping about, robins flitter around the branches (and through the header text), a couple of deer hide behind the tree, and there's a ghosted image of Pan, the flute player.
Printed on nicer, mid-weight stock.
Artist/Illustrator/Photographer: Walter King Stone
Approximate Size (in inches): 9¾ x 14
Condition: VG
This is the cover only . . . not the entire magazine.
Please note:
Although we have given a very general grade for condition, please keep in mind that magazine covers suffer much harsher treatment than the rest of the magazine. After years of being handled and tossed around, it is likely that an old cover will show signs of wear including small rips, creases, discoloration/staining, edge chipping, general surface wear, etc.
If there is anything more severe, we will note that in the description. It is also helpful to look closely at the picture(s) we have provided above to get a better idea of condition of this cover.
