1945 WWII Camel Cigarettes Ad ~ "Ruptured Duck" Lapel Pin

In Stock: 1
1945 WWII Camel Cigarettes Ad ~ "Ruptured Duck" Lapel Pin

Original vintage magazine ad for Camel Cigarettes. An ad that would cause an uproar today shows a man smoking a cigarette while holding his son close by. The man wears an Honorable Discharge Pin (also known as a "Ruptured Duck" pin) and the boy asks his dad to explain what it means.

Tagline or sample ad copy: Actually, son, it doesn't really say anything. There's no inscription lettered on its face. But in another, larger sense that simple little gilt button in the lapel of your dad's jacket says a world of things.

Publication Year: 1945

Approximate Ad Size (in inches): 10 x 13½

Condition: Good. Address label stamped at lower right corner.

Price: $17.99
