Dated 1896, this is an original illustrated article that has been carefully extracted from the jubilee number of "The Dry Goods Economist," a trade journal for the textile industry that began publishing in the 1850's.
The article includes a table showing the value of importations of textiles into the port of New York for the years 1849 to 1895, and a table of statistics showing the production of textiles by American Mills.
